ScapeMath is run from British Columbia, Canada. We aim to collect as little as possible, and to handle what we do collect in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What you type into calculators
Calculations run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are never sent to us.
Stored on your device
We store a single setting in your browser's local storage, your preferred units (metric or US), so the site remembers it. We don't set tracking cookies.
Analytics
We may use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views and see which tools are useful. This doesn't identify you personally. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site.
Affiliate links
Some pages may include affiliate links, for example to Amazon.ca. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer may set its own cookies to track the referral, and its own privacy policy applies. See our affiliate disclosure.
Advertising
We don't show ads today. If we add them (for example Google AdSense), third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You'll be able to opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ad Settings. Where the law requires it, we'll ask for consent first and update this page before any ads go live.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to fix whatever you reported. We don't add you to any list.
